Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts

The Sanitation Districts are a confederation of independent special districts serving about 5.1 million people in Los Angeles County. The Sanitation Districts' service area covers approximately 800 square miles and encompasses 78 cities and unincorporated territory within the County. The Sanitation Districts construct, operate, and maintain facilities to collect, treat, recycle, and dispose of sewage and industrial wastes. The Sanitation Districts, also, provide for the management of solid wastes. The agency is made up of 25 separate Sanitation Districts working cooperatively under a Joint Administration Agreement with one administrative staff headquartered near the City of Whittier. The Sanitation Districts own and operate the Valencia and Saugus Water Reclamation Plants (WRPs), located in Districts 32 and 26 of the City of Santa Clarita. The Valencia and Saugus WRPs provide tertiary treatment of wastewater and discharge the treated effluent to Reaches 5 and 6 of the Santa Clara River.

Geomatrix Consultants

In 1984, a group of recognized authorities in the engineering geology consulting profession founded Geomatrix. Their goal was to create a company large enough to solve the most complex scientific and technical issues facing their clients, but small enough to deliver consistently exceptional results and personal service. Building on our solid beginnings in geology, geotechnical engineering, and foundation engineering, we have proven innovators in a widening spectrum of technical disciplines—from seismic analysis and remediation engineering to water resources management, air quality permitting, and decision analysis. All our service areas have grown or been developed in response to clients' increasingly complex needs.
