Public Involvement

A major component of The Upper Santa Clara River Chloride TMDL Collaborative Process is a commitment to stakeholder involvement and public outreach. As part of this commitment, a variety of involvement opportunities are open to the public.

Public Workshops

Throughout the process we will be conducting periodic public workshops to inform area residents and concerned citizens about the progress of the project, as well as to solicit feedback and generate discussion on the issues.

Technical Working Groups

The Technical Working Group (TWG) for all four studies will meet together once a month. The monthly meeting will be organized according to study, so that participants can attend only the segments of greatest interest. TWG members can choose to be on several TWGs, and the meetings are open to the public. Meeting materials and agendas for each Technical Working Group are available for download.

TWG membership is open, with the expectation that members are to attend meetings regularly, commit time to participating in document reviews, and participate in a consensus-oriented process. To volunteer to participate regularly on the TWG, send an email to info@santaclarariver.org indicating which study or studies you would like to participate in.
