USCR Collaborative Process:
Technical Working Groups
The purpose of the Collaborative Process Technical Working Group (TWG) is to ensure that local stakeholders such as growers, water agencies, city staff, environmental groups, and developers have an ongoing opportunity to review and provide guidance to the technical study process. The goal is to achieve substantial agreement by Regional Board staff, Sanitation Districts’ staff, and major stakeholders that there is sufficient and credible scientific and technical information upon which to base decisions about standards and the Implementation Plan as appropriate for the Upper SCR Chloride TMDL.
The Technical Working Group will examine all four studies and will meet together once a month. The monthly meeting will be organized according to study, so that participants can attend only the segments of greatest interest. TWG meetings are open to the public. Meeting materials, and agendas for each Technical Working Group meeting will be made available for download.
TWG membership is open, with the expectation that members are to attend meetings regularly, commit time to participating in document reviews, and participate in a consensus-oriented process. To volunteer to participate regularly on the TWG, send an email to info@santaclarariver.org indicating which study or studies you would like to participate in.
